After downloading IE 7, turns out the highest FP 2003 goes with compatibility
is IE 5. Now things are messed up...
help!

Hi cockatoo,

Downloading IE7 by itself has no direct bearing on how FrontPage
functions..that being said however if sites look *different* by viewing with
IE7 it may point out some problems that need to be corrected. The best way
to start approaching some of that is to first determine what it is that
looks different or strange..and then take the next steps to find out why.
There are a lot of things that IE6 or earlier did that would help correct
some bad coding issues that IE7 might not.

There was no update to FrontPage to include IE7 so you won't see that.
What's "messed up"? If you choose Custom in the drop downs and check all
the boxes on the Authoring tab you should have all features still.

Thanks for the quick response!
Well, I uninstalled IE7, now I'm back to IE6 - I still can't see the
background in some of the FP sites that I've done in the browser. This is
REALLY strange. I've played w/accessibility checks and nothing works.
Plus the fonts are HUGE in some of the sites in the browser now. I've
re-booted, cleaned, spyswept, defragged. Don't know what else to do.
thanks

Hi Joe, I finally fixed the text issue, and can finally read your posts!
Anyway, I still cannot see the background/colors in some websites via
MS browser. Not sure what's going on there.

What else can I try?
thanks!

Hi cockatoo,

It still sounds like a browser setting. I would try to look through all of
your settings in IE. Do you have a url to a site where you cannot see it but
others can?

It could possibly be something in a firewall as well..are you running one
and if so have you tried temporarily turning it off to see if that helps?
