IE 6 wont load

I was on an aol site using my IE 6 and I went to a radio station. It asked
to download something so I could hear the station. I started to and the
computer locked up. Now when I try to get on IE it will show a blank white
screen with some of the background images showing and just sits there saying
loading images. But it never logs on. I have to control,alt,delete to get
the computer to respond. It takes about 5 minutes to get that to even
respond. What do I need to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Clear the temporary internet files and cookies from the tools internet
options menu in IE. Restart the computer and check again.

restart the computer in safe mode with networking using f8and see if you are
able to pull websites, this will only work if you have a DSL or a cable
modem. if it works then follow the KB article 310353.
