Tom

I get the standard "DNS Failure" error page when trying
to get to a website. I can download email in outlook,
MSN messenger works, Windows Update works.

I tried installing Mozilla to see if it would work and it
did not.

Connection is wireless through a linksys AP/router
connected to a cable modem. Other wireless and wired
computers can connect without error.

In dos window I cannot ping anything, Error code 65

I attempted to connect to an FTP site. I.E.
FTP.Compaq.com

Thanks in advance,

Tom

First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
