After installing Ad & Spy-Ware software to rid my system
of these files, the IE 6 browser loaded incomplete web
pages that had blank spots, and in the upper left corner
of each blank spot are 3 small different colored geometric
shapes that form a square. I have removed the Spyware
software and attempted to uninstasll and reinstall IE 6
and it didn't fix the problem. The system restore was
disabled so that is not an option. I am stumped as to how
I can fix this problem. Also The game pages on pogo.com
won't load at all when clicking on the gameroom links. If
any one can please provide me with information as to how I
can fix this problem, or direct me to where I can find out
how, I would appreciate it very much. Thank you for
taking the time to read this posting, and for helping me
if possible.

Sincerely Frustrated, Greg Jones

Greg - Which Spyware applications please - by Name.
It may be the Spyware programs that are the problem,
depending on what you have installed.

Post back with the Vendor names - thanks.

Greg,
Sounds like you installed SpyBot and used the included HOSTS file.
You can reinstall SpyBot, then uninstall their (questionable) HOSTS file.
[or]
Symtom: Page cannot be displayed / Cannot find server or DNS Error

In the event you can not access a site and you believe it
may be due to an entry in the HOSTS file.

You can use a simple batch file to rename the HOSTS file "on-the-fly".

If the above works, locate "NOHOSTS" and delete it. Once you are
able to gain access again, then download a HOSTS file (see below)
Then when you want to access Pogo, use "RenHosts" to access.

Quality and accuracy, not quantity, yes ;) Missed that <g>
SpyBot HOSTS in use ?

siljaline,
Yeah it looked that way to me .......
When you uninstall SpyBot it does not remove the (SpyBot) HOSTS file,
which [opinion] is no good anyway ..... too many bad entries.

Mike,
My opinion too - confirmed, shot mine all full of holes when I tried SpyBot's
HOSTS a while back - the HOSTS "recover" feature doesn't work either.
