I have been trying for several days to download the IE 6
upgrade packet from the Microsoft Update Web Site. I have
Windows ME on my computer. The download fails everytime I
try it, but never at the same place in the install
process. Sometimes it fails almost immediately. Other
times it will run for at least 3 hours before filling up
the install progress bar. However, when it does fill up
the install bar, it just sits there displaying the full
install bar window. When I click the mouse it immediately
aborts and tells me that not all files were installed and
to run setup over again. I have waited up to an
additional hour after the install bar has filled up, but
nothing more has ever happened. As anyone else
experienced this problem? If so, what needs to be done to
resolve it. I have ordered the IE 6 upgrade CD and hope
that solves my problem eventually, but would like to
upgrade sooner, if someone can give the help I need to
accomplish that.
