IE 6 toolbar rearranges itself

I've been using IE 6 under Win XP for months now, and in
the past few days IE is misbehaving: Although I lock the
toolbar, every so often it reconfigures itself, splitting
a single row on which I've configured the address bar and
the Google toolbar into two different rows. I put the
two together again into a single row, they stay like that
for awhile -- and soon, they split into two rows again.

What's happening?

Are you using the new Google 2.0 Beta? I've been having the same problem and
I am thinking of going back to the older version until its fixed.

Nope, I'm using Google 1.1.7.

Hmmmmm........ at least I'm not the only one

Try Google toolbar 2.0.95
It is no longer in Beta.
