I have a problem where my IE 6 using XP SP2 starts then closes in "standard
view mode". In order for it to stay open I must hit F11 while IE is opening.
If I catch it just right it will stay open in "full screen mode". As soon
as I change it back to "standard view mode" it imediately closes.

I have run several virus detection and spam programs in safe mode and found
nothing. Hijackthis also finds no problems.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,
DC

Frank,

Thanks for your help. I tried eveything in your list and still had the
problem. I finally tried deleting the following registy subkey:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

That did the trick. Everything is back to normal.

Thanks,
DC
