Has anyone been able to bring up a UserControl/ActiveX object in IE 6 w/h SP2
without being presented with the 'publisher could not be verified' dialog box?
Is there any way to completely turn off the checking of UserControls (Dlls)
for valid digital signatures?
I have 'allowed' everything in the Advanced IE settings, and turned-off all
'checks'.
I have tried every registry entry I could find, including
CheckExeSignatures, RunInvalidSignatures, SaveZoneInformation,
LowRiskFileTypes...
I have also enabled all the 'Zone' settings (1001, 1004, etc.) for all zones.
I have also re-configured the image to support IE 7, and subsequently
installed IE7. Same behavior as 6.0 SP2.
Nothing seems to have any effect. The embedded system is on a secure
network with no internet access. The system is automated with no keyboard
and mouse. I simply do not want this dialog box to appear.
