IE6 SP2 is not displaying web content correctly.
Fonts huge and tiny, frame borders show where they are not supposed to,
background images don't load, etc...
I have tested for spyware, viruses, received all critical updates,
set browser back to default settings and so on.
Have done everything but re-install.
Why is this happening???
This is a Dell Notebook- I have checked for updated display drivers.
I use 5 different windows systems from home and at work, and have never
encountered anything this weird that I couldn't fix right away.
I'm stumped...
Help.

Hi,
You're not having a Secure Sites problem , but this article might be a good
place to start. I would not worry about security zones or settings. I would
look at other programs you're running that might be interfering with IE.
870700 - How to troubleshoot problems accessing secure Web pages with IE 6
[XP] SP2: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;870700

And, try the reregister DLL's procedure:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type:
iexplore.exe /rereg
3. Click OK.

Do you have any display options checked in Internet Options> General>
Accessibility or Control Panel> Accessibility. Is User style sheet checked?
There's a CoolWebSearch variant that inserts a style sheet. You can get the
stand-alone version of CWShredder from
http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract/cwshredder_download.html.
Did you run Ad-aware SE and Spybot? http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Also, not very likely, but:
820286 - PRB Windows XP Does Not Natively Support High-DPI Screens
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=820286

Hope this helps,
