I just got SP2 on my windows xp machine and when I go to a
secure sites that has some pdf file that I neede to
download but when I click on the report link that usually
brings up a window asking me if I would like save or open,
the window will just close when I click on the link. The
only way for me to download the report is to right click
on the link and then open in a new window. What can I do
so I would not have to right click on the link and open in
a new window?

You need to check the security/privacy settings in IE. You may need add the sites to your trusted sites. Also under the pop-up blocker added in SP2, may be blocking some web pages in those sites. If the blocker program is enabled, you should see a thin toolbar under the main IE toolbar to allow pop-ups for the website. Now if you have an alternate pop-up blocker program, it might have conflicts with one installed with SP2. Try turning off one or the other, and see if that helps.

Try this....Click on "Tools" put mouse over Pop-up
Blocker, select "allow temporary pop-ups" or Always allow
pop-ups from this site. Should correct your problem. Al

I added the site to the trusted sites and allowed the pop
ups from this site and it still closes the site down when
I click on the link to my report download.
