xp pro with sp2.

When I click on a link to open a second window, the page will come up and
load. The moment that it's finished loading, it will close.

Anyone know of this and how to fix??

Thanks.

Yeah,I am also having problems with IE(I think everyone has :)), that's why
I prefer not using it too often... Anyway, a couple of minutes ago I tried to
use it but it was crashing all the time, just like it usually does. I'm
reinstalling SP1 to see if I can fix it.
Now i will get to the point... YES, I also have a problem with the windows
....I have even more of them.. Once, it opened 57 windows of itself and kept
opening more while I was closing them..Well, Ok that was strange even for IE,
but when I for e.g. access my e-mail account with IE, and afterwards I
simply, normally click on a link, it freezes a bit and then that window or
both of them close. I don't know how to fix it, though, a guy told me that
the reason why IE is not working properly on my PC is that something was
messy on the install CD.. So that can be one of the reasons .. Probably.. I
can't be sure, but IE is a low-quality browser anyway.. Look at all the
complaints...I don't use it unless I have to, but it doesn't work not even
then..
My friendly advice is not to use it :)))

Sounds like you might have a popup blocker installed. Try holding down the
Ctrl key when you click on the link. This overrides the blocker for windows
you *want* to open.

Hi prettz :-)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Go to Start>Run> and register the following dll's by using
regsvr32 command. Try the first 2, then see if it resolves the problem. If
not then register the rest of the .dll's:

regsvr32 urlmon.dll?
regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 scrrun.dll?
regsvr32 msxml.dll?
regsvr32 mshtml.dll?
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll?
regsvr32 browseui.dll
regsvr32 msjava.dll?

If that doesn't work, then check out the following article and do the
additional steps outlined there:
