IE 6 problems

I run XP on an HP. All of a sudden IE has stopped playing
FLash movies and will not display HTML. I v'e tried all
that I can think of. I've downloaded a new wersion of the
browser. I've tried to uninstal the current one but it
doesn't show up on the add/remove prgrams list. Flash
plays fine on the stand alone player, and everything
works fine in Netscape.Can anybody help me?

Because IE is an integrated part of the XP os, it is not
available in the add/remove program list. Microsoft's kb
article 318378, tells you how to reinstall/repair IE in a
XP environment.
