IE 6 Problem

Totally confused! My IE is unable to locate www.microsoft.com or any other
address that begins with the same. Even removing microsoft spyware has not
solved the problem. Any pointers?

Check for a file named HOSTS with no extension (not Hosts.sam). It may be a
hidden file. Open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing the site.
Or, rename HOSTS to OLDHOSTS
