On IE 6, for some reason lately, when I got onto a website
like yahoo.com for example and right click on a hyperlink
and select "Open In New Window" from the drop down menu a
new page opens but nothing loads in this window, all you
can see if the image of whatever is behind that window,
e.g if you opened a hyperlink on yahoo.com you'd see the
yahoo page on the new screen but if you minimise that you
see the desktop on that page..and so on, is there a way to
cure this annoying problem?

You might look at microsoft fix Q281679.

I am running Win 98, I had the same problem, open in new
frame had a blank address bar plus any hyperlink that
opened in a new window was blank. Also a big note: my
Norton Antivirus Live Update stopped working. A program
had installed a new Oleau32.dll (ver.3.50.5014.0)onto my
system that is incompatable. Installed a compatable
version (ver. 2.40.4275)and i'm back to normal. Thanks for
the links above. If you need to change your .dll file see
this how to at Symantec.
