IE 6, not allowing New IE Windows to open.

Hello:

I hope someone can answer this question for me. I use a
cable internet connection, running Windows XP Professional
(SP2) and IE 6 SP1?2? - not sure which and cannot check
right now (Not at home). I have used Windows and Office
Update several times to insure I had all the Windows and
Office updates available. Anyway I am 98% sure I have ALL
available critical updates installed.

The problem I am having is that while logged on under my
login, whenever I try to open a new window by either
clicking File, New Windows or Ctrl+N I do not get a new
window or see a list of windows in the IE taskbar at the
bottom of the screen. This was working just perfectly
until today and still works fine using my wife's Login.
BTW standard XP logins, full admin rights for both logins.

I have search the advanced options in the browser, the
help file and have tried the knowledge pages to no avail.

The only other change I know of is that she allowed a
freind who was staying over to download Yahoo Messenger
last night so she could check messages.

I am always multitasking and not being able to open
separate windows really hampers my work AND play. Thanks
in advance for your time and consideration.
