Hi,

I can no longer access my Internet Options. It gives me a
message that I no longer have rights to do this and to
contact my system admin - this is on a windows 98 machine
with no OS lockdown. I can sneak my way in through the
provacy report option under view, and clicking on
settings, but I cannot change my home page. it is grayed
out.

can anyone help??!?!?!?

Dude! Obviously your SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR has locked you
out by turning on Family Logon and is using password
administration in the control panel. He is probably sick
of you screwing around with his PC! Go find him and ask
him. If he is now gone forever then you will have to
probably remove and reload windows from scratch. I think
MS offers some password resetting tools for this but only
if you can verify that you are the actual owner of the OS
software by serial number.

When I go to 'Tools' 'Internet Options' I get the following error:
This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. Please contact your system administrator.

If you have SpyBot S & D installed, go to SpyBot - Search and Destroy
Immunize, and UNcheck the "Lock IE Control Panel..." box.
