IE 6 History Files Missing

How can I repair the hisory files in Interent Exploerer
6. The history file had become very large and
corrupted. IE was not displaying any hisotry and I right
clicked on the dat file in the hitory pane and deleted
it. How can I repair the history files to function
correctly?

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
