Hi,
Ok so I wanted to try IE 7 Beta 2 because I thought I would like it better.
El Stupido I was. Ok so anyway. It worked fine but I didn't like some things.
Keeps logging me out of Passport and what not. So I uninstall it. IE 6
Wouldn't work right. So I did a system restore but then some things on IE7B2
that worked before didn't work. So.. I uninstalled IE7B2 again and now I've
got IE6 again. It works fine, im using it now. However the problem is that
when I click the favorites button, it won't show my favorites. The menu,
however, does. Now thats not the only thing. I am having trouble updating my
WMP to 10 because i've got XP. The information bar won't show, or I get an
"you are not authorized to access..." but then I noticed another page for the
windows authentication thingy. So I click Run and it says to look at the top
for the yellow bar. No Bar.. HELP!

Let's see if we've got the timeline right:

(1) Installed IE7 B2 > (2) Uninstalled IE7 B2 due to problems > (3) Used
System Restore because IE6 "wouldn't work right" > (4) Installed IE7 B2
again > (5) Uninstalled IE7 B2 again due to additional problems.

=> Were you having any problems before the first install of IE7 B2 (1)?

=> IN RE (1) above: When was you first install of IE7 B2 (approximate date)?

=> IN RE (3) above: Did the Restore Point you used pre-date the first
install of IE7 B2 (1)?

=> IN RE (4) above: When did you install IE7 B2 again?

=> Do you have a Restore Point now which predates the first install of IE7
B2 (1)?

I also look for the yellow bar and it too is not there, I don't know if you
have a hotmail account, but now when you attach pictures they have changed
it, the say you can attach more than 1 it says you can attach several at a
time, Well when I click on the install guess what it tells me ActiveX is not
installed for the MSn photo post, then email to ask how to install it. guess
what I still don't have it nor active X. if you find out let me know I'd
sure appeciate it.........And it think I am leaving 7 alone.

In IE General newsgroup, NeedsHelpASAP posts more information, including:

So I installed B2 because I was interested. What a mistake that was. Ok so
like I liked it for awhile but kept logging me out of passport. So I
uninstalled it which did 2 things.

1. On restart, my virus scanner said that there was a virus on my
computer, removed. Could this be a coincidence?
2. IE6 wouldn't work at all...
