Hi

I recently downloaded various games from different web sites and my IE
6 seems to have been hacked by some web sites. Whenever i open my IE 6, my
home page is no longer there, instead it gives me this "privacy alert" thing
saying that my computer has spyware, and being watched by others and gives me
a link to download a software. This, to me clearly is scam to make me
download their software. I tried to change my home page to other web site by
going to "Internet option" in IE 6 and change to other default home page.
But after i pressed "apply" and closed the IE 6, then when i reopen the IE 6
again, the same pages appears again, telling me to go and dowload this
software. The home pages starts with "res://" can someone please help me to
get rid of this page?

Thank you so much
Andrew

Hi AM :-)

Follow the instructions here to clean your system and restore normal
functio,

Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Be aware, there are many types of scumware that your antivirus and some
removal tools cannot detect or remove. Therefore, use the programs as
described in the instructions here. Some variants can continue to replicate
themselves each time your computer starts up if not properly removed.
Follow all instructions carefully. Some variants of spyware and malware can
replicate themselves repeatedly if not properly removed.

Hope this helps.
