This is driving me nuts:

IE 6 displays everything too large by ~25%, while it looks just fine in
firefox. I've tried altering the text settings, accessibility settings,
and various options on the advanced tab in the internet options
dialogue...to no avail...help?

Hi kraftamle :-)

First, to change the font text size go to IE>View>Text Size>and select the
size you want from the list.

If no change.........

If you have a wheel on your mouse, hold down the Ctrl key and move the
wheel. This may get your fonts back to the size you want.

Also.

Check in IE>Tools>Internet Options>General tab>Accessibility

For normal viewing nothing should be checked in these sections.

Also check the setting in Control Panel>Accessibility Options>Display is set
to Windows Standard and make sure the High Contrast is not checked.

It is not just the text, it is everything on the page: pictures, images
etc. I can alter the text size but this only effects the text.

I've check all of the solutions provided above....no luck

Hi kraftamle :-)

Go to View on the IE toolbar>Text>select Medium
While in View>Encoding>UNcheck Autoselect if it is selected
Close IE

Right click any empty space on your desktop>Settings>
Move the slider back or forward to adjust the resolutions to a size that
will allow the screen to be displayed normally. Apply and close

See if that helps: If still no joy,

Go to Tools>Internet Options>General tab>Accessibility
Check the box next to both Ignore font styles specified on web pages and
Ignore font sizes specified on web pages.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jan:

No love: Text was already set to medium and Autoselect was unchecked.
And when I check Ignore font styles specified on web pages and Ignore
font sizes specified on web pages the text does change but all else
(images etc remain too large).
Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
kraftamle
