IE 6 disconnects (kind of) when idle for too long

My desktop computer has started acting strange. IE will
run fine and as it should, until it is left idle for a
while. Usually about an hour or so is when I have
noticed problems. The DSL connection is still active and
my laptop gets to the net just fine with IE. The desktop
on the other hand will not display any webpage that it
tries to get to, almost like it isn't connected to the
DSL anymore. If I reboot and reconnect to the DSL
everything is fine. If I logout (leaving the DSL
activated) and log back in, everything is fine. I have
not changed any options, installed anything, or
unistalled anything to bring about this problem.

Any advice you have is appreciated.

Hi Sous :-)

Click Tools>Internet Explorer>Connection>Settings>Advanced...see if it is
set to disconnect. If so, uncheck it.

You migh also check the information here:

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps
