Why don't the weblink shortcuts on my desktop seek an address anymore?
I just started having a problem this afternoon with
launching web pages from desktop shortcuts. I can load
IE by itself and it defaults to the homepage I have set,
however, all of the other shortcut links I have on my
desktop (all 5 of them) mysteriously don't open their
respective pages. If I click on any of them, it DOES
launch the IE browser window, however, it does not fill
in the URL in the address line and therefore doesn't ever
launch the actual page that I've made the shortcut for.
I clicked on the properties option of each shortcut, and
the link path is clearly there - it is just not making it
to the address line in the browser window for some
reason. Once the blank browser window is open, I am able
to maually type in the address of the site I'm trying to
get to and it comes right up. Essentially, something has
happened to make my IE shortcut links useless. Any
ideas??? PLEASE HELP! Thanks
