I downloaded Win XP sp2. Used Trend micro to remove viruses and spyware,
etc. When ever Auto update starts to download or if I try to download any
thing from the Microsoft web site the computer crases with the stop error:
0x0000005 (0x0000008e, 0x804ffe67, 0xed377c5c, 0x00000000)

or
0x0000005 (0x0000008e, 0x804ffe67, 0xed009bc98, 0x00000000)

Both errors only come up when downloading from the Microsoft Download site
and the Windows Update site.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

analysis, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
