IE 6 Crashes when opening microsoft.com

My browser freezes and crashes whenever I try to load
Microsoft.com. If i click anywhere on the page I get an
hourglass cursor then a non responsive error.

Any ideas?

I am currently talk with microsoft about this issue. I
have been on the the phone with them for over 2 hour. I
will post a fix if i get one. This happened after I
installed XP SP2
 
I am still running SP1 and have the same issue. I don't
think it is SP2 related, it must be something else.

Hanging application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, hang module
hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

Fault bucket 126637809.

Some things fixed it only ONCE
ONCE I was OK in safe mode, but not a 2nd time in safe mode
ONCE it was OK after running sfc /scannow, but no longer

MS recently changed the page design. I'm wondering if there is a
problem with the cache of the old page? Have you tried deleting temp
internet files?
