IE 6 Can only run one instance at a time?

all of a sudden I can only run one instance of ie at a
time. if i try to open a new window with a different web
page it closes the current page i'm in and opens a new
one. very frustrating. anyone have any idea what setting
i need to adjust to fix this?

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".
