IE 6 browser error

After launching IE 6 the following message appearsand will
not connect to internet (cannot find server):
res://C\WINDOWS\SYSTEMS\SHCOCLC.DLL/dnserror.htm

Can anyone help me cure this?

The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).
