My problem is with IE6 browser not opening up when I sign onto internet. It's
been happening about 2-3 weeks now. Since IE browser usually opens when I
sign-on to internet with my ISP, I thought the problem was with NetZero.
However, I've done an uninstall / reinstall and it didn't help.
When I click the "e" on bottom start bar, an IE page doesn't open, but when
I shut down my computer I get a message that IE page isn't responding to
close action, and I have to click "end now" to shut it down. Apparently IE
is open, isn't closing on it's own, and is hidden somehow where I can't see
it. Also, occasionally my computer freezes up, with restart being my only
option.
I've used system restore, several times with different dates in the month of
July, before this problem happened, but it didn't resolve the problem either.
I haven't tried doing uninstall of IE to reinstall because I'm afraid it
might mess up other XP files in the process. Especially since my computer
came preloaded with XP and I don't have CD's to fix any XP problems.
Can someone please help me with this issue? By the way, I've been using
SlimBrowser to access the internet . . . Thanks for ANY help or suggestions!
