Also running OfficeXP

I downloaded the patches to fend off sobig and the others
(I was never infected). Since then, my IE6 hangs and
hangs and hangs. Scrolling crawls. It takes forever to
input type. I've also encountered other issues, such as
can no longer add/remove software without receiving error
messages; Photoshop 2000 stopped working.

Very strange.

None of the solutions posted on the MFST site help. I
cannot believe that I'm the only user being affected this
way. But I refuse to pay MSFT support to ultimately be
sent back to where I know this is headed: I'm going to
have to repurchase all the same damned software I've
bought over and over and over again through the years
because the various versions are incompatible with each
other. So, unless you have an easy solution that you can
offer, I don't really want to hear from you. I don't want
to have my question answered with a question (what kind of
computer? IT DOESN'T MATTER). Tell all of us who are
experiencing these problems how to solve them -- WITHOUT
PAYING MICROSOFT ANOTHER DIME!!!!!

Did you turn off your anti-virus before downloading the patches?
