IE 6 Address bar not working

Running IE 6, SP2. Starts OK to my home page. If I enter any www address on
address bar, nothing happens. Doesn't matter if I hit ENTER or click GO. If
I select an address from FAVORITES, goes to the site okay.
 
Yes, had HP Share to Web. Ran the fix and IE address bar working now. Thanks!

Same here, couldn't figure out what was wrong, ran the fix and everything
seems to be working again! Thanks!

Same thing was happening to me. Drove me nuts. Ran the fix and all is well.

i had the same problem and just ran the file from this link. It seems to
have solved my problem without uninstalling the IE security update KB908531
which others had suggested.
