Hello,
my IE 6 locks up the system eating all CPU time, 100 %
KERNEL time. This happens since about 1 week. It works
fine if the content ist static and comes fast. When the
server is slower, or complex pages are loaded the hangup
happens. Pages are displayed correct, but for an example
one search-result page in eBay needs 5 minutes to load.
Netscape (duhh!) workd fine in this case.
Any idea?
I have no viruses so far, no worms, Kerio personal
firewall and firewall on LAN-adapter running. All these
setting were not changed expcept I installed Internet
Information Services. I will next try to de-install them.
My system is Windows XP, SP1 fully patched.
Thank in advance for any idea!

Knut,
The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).
