IE 6.1 performance issue

my computer has these hardwares: CPU1.3G/64MB/20G.
first, i input my username in IE6, when i move the cursor
to the password field, the computer take a long time hung,
after 4~5 secondes, i can move my mouse again. this alway
happen when i input something in IE6 input-box. and my OS
is windows98, does anyone know what wrong with my IE6.
