Has anyone had the following problem. I frequently can be
surfing and find a site I would like to examine, and IE
6.0 will just stop responding. There is no error message,
but when I go to Task Manager all it say, is the IE is not
responding. If I can received some information on this or
a fix for it I would greatly appreciate it.

it destabilizes the shell

What symptoms? Is WDU active (e.g. Quick Launch tray)?
Perhaps you need to do to your OS what I did to my NT4:
update WDU component.

You should be able to do that from the command-line.

ie6setup /c:"ie6wzd /e:IE4Shell_Win"

Note: I don't have your OS and my iesetup.cif no longer lists
that component but I think that that is the spelling. It's case
sensitive so extract your iesetup.cif and check if necessary.

You can tell if you need to do this or not by checking on the
properties of your explorer.exe. The default one seems to be
the one which is equivalent to the IE401SP1 install for WDU.
The IE6 Component has a newer one which is equivalent to the
IE401SP2 install for WDU.

FWIW my symptoms on NT4 before I did the equivalent update
were crashes in browseui.dll when I accidentally dragged my mouse
in the Start menu.
