I have somehow introduced a problem into IE which now causes it to shutdown
when I attempt to access our remote application. The error is as follows:
"An error has occured in Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer will now
close. If you continue to experience problems, please restart your computer."
I can't correct this problem and need to start fresh with a clean "new"
installation of IE, NOT a prior confuguration. There is NO "repair" option
to select. Is there not a way to remove and reinstall IE 6.0 ???

Yes you can Repair or Reinstall IE6 by following instructions in this kb:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318378

Hope this helps.

I use non Microsoft products wherever possible which requires no activation.

I use Netscape 7.2 as my default browser which has everything I need for my work.

David,
Thank you for taking the time to post an answer. Unfortunately, I did not
make clear that I am on Win200, not XP. I have searched the MS Internet
Explorer 6 product area and can not find any procedure for removing and
re-installing. So, I have concluded that it is not possible and have had my
machine re-imaged. I can't take the time to chase possible solutions. I
needed something quick and sure. I do appreciate your response. Thanks
again,
EDK
