Version of IE Version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519

This just started happening in last several days on 2 of our pcs at home.
No changes that we're aware of that should have caused this.
If I open IE directly and access via cable modem, it will bring up home page
relatively quickly but then when I type in a new address to go to, it takes
almost 3-5 minutes sometimes. If I go through ISP (AOL) and then type in web
address (i.e. google.com or yahoo.com or any other webpage... goes quickly.

What can I check? Have scanned for viruses etc. Have deleted cookies and
cleared history etc. defragged...no luck -still slow.

Would have thought all methods would be equally as slow..i.e. if access via
AOL or if acess directly to IE.
