Starting today, I can no longer op IE. It quits as soon as it
loads the home page. However, there is no problem opening pages
stored on my hard drive. The problem only occurs when connecting
to the Internet.

Is there a way to upgrade or re-install IE using command mode?

When you say quit do you mean you can see it open and then shut down right
away? I just started having the problem today also. I didn't check to see
if I could open any offline pages.

I just found a post where uninstalling the yahoo toolbar should fix the
problem.
Give it a try it worked for me!
Good Luck.

Lori,
I'm not a "techie", so I have 2 questions. #1. How do I remove the yahoo
toolbar (is it through programs)? and #2. If I remove my toolbar, will I lose
my bookmarks and everything else that I have saved over the years? Which
leads to a 3rd question....Is there anyway that I can get them back if that
does happen (I have very important stuff saved there). Thanks Rockin Robin

Thanks Ben,
It worked, but....I did lose my tool bar, and all my bookmarks, etc. I'm
bummed big time. How do I get them back? Rob

Thank you. It works. I'm back to the good old days. The yahoo
toolbar has been on my pc for quite a while. Don't know why it
suddenly acted up.

Hi, could you give more detail on what IE is or is not doing? Does it open
and shut? Does it open partially? Are you getting an error message. If so
what is the exact error message?
