IE 6.0 Back Button

Ocasionally when I click to a new web page the Back
buttons greys out and theres no other window to open. So
I have to reload IE
 
Some sites are build like that. Is there not a small down arrows on the
right of the Back Button that you can click and return to a previously
visited site.

If no joy then post the offending sites so that we can have a look at them.
