idx auto files

my desk top screen is awash with these files.Where they
came from, not sure can't get rid of them either. Any help
would be appreciated.

Dave,

Not really sure that this is an AD related issue. I might suggest that you
try a more appropriate News Group. Possibly the WIN2000.General News Group.

However, if I am not mistaken .idx files are related to Symantec's
pcAnyWhere. You might verify this by looking at your associations. To do
this, open up My Computer. Click on Tools and then the Folder Options and
go to the File Types tab. Scroll down to find .idx and see what application
is associated with the .idx extension.
