When a user logs in to the systemthis error occurs.
Cannot find idlist;256:nnnn in c:\Documents ...

After you hit OK, all is well until the next user logs
in. This does not happen with the administrator users?
What do I need to do in order to fix the problem?

Robert,

First thing to check would be to log into that account and run MSconfig,

Start > Run > "msconfig"

Have a look on the Startup tab to see if any of the entries make reference
to that dll. If any do just uncheck it. If that doesn't solve your
problem, you may have to track down the call in the registry, could you post
the full error message also.

.Mike,

Thanks for your reply. The problem is I cannot execute
msconfig logged in as a user. I cannot even use the runas
function because msconfig is not on the program menu. I
tried changing the permissions on the msconfig.exe file
itself to include all users and it still did not let me
use msconfig as a user?

When ever I changed an existing user to an admin category
and logged on I did not get the error message? It only
happens with the user logon process and not the admin
logon process?

The message reads;

"Windows cannot find '/idlist,:256:nnn,c:\Documents'.
Make sure you typed the name correctly, and try again. To
search for a file, click the start button and then check
search."
the nnnn is dynamicly changed everytime the user logs on
because it is different all the time. Even with the same
user logging in.

After I accept the error message the user logs in OK?

Robert
