how do i set up windows xp so that when i leave my computer idle i dont have
to sign again at the main menu
 
Hi apex2004,

Right-click a blank area of the Desktop, select Properties then Screen Saver
tab. If the checkbox beside "On resume, password protect" or "on resume
display welcome screen" is checked, click in the checkbox to clear it then
click on Apply then OK.

Also, open the Power Options applet in Control Panel and select the Advanced
tab. If the checkbox beside "Prompt for password when computer resumes from
standby" is checked, click in the checkbox to clear it then click on Apply
then OK.
