Hello
Either I have made a change, or possibly a program I have downloader, but my
pc had been set up to where if there is "X" amount of time the pc is idle, it
will power itself down, and then, when returning to the pc, as soon as the
mouse is moved, the pc springs open.
I have been to the options pages to try to set this but it hasn't helped.
Does anyone have any suggestions to this problem?Either I have made a
change, or possibly a program I have downloader this problem?
Also, once again, either I have made a change, or possibly a program I have
downloaded, in the address window, the sites I have typed in are missing when
I do a shutdown and start back up.
I use this feature to fetch certain addresses rather than putting a shortcut
icon on the desktop.
Help, please.

Kathea,
Thank you for your reply.
I went to the location you mentioned and here are the selections:
Turn Off Monitor -------- After 15 minutes
Turn Off Hard Disks --------After 3 hours
System Standby ----------After 2 hours
System Hibernate ------- Never

On my old pc running Windows 98, the pc would power down, but as soon as the
mouse was moved, or any key pushed, it would immediately respond and come on.

On the other problem, I must have installed a program that had the typed in
Address locations to where it removed them when the pc did a cold start .....
It wasn't either of the programs you mentioned that had that feature.

I'll keep trying to work with this.

I do appreciate your response

Thanks,
Amber
