Not Win2000 related - but it is networking!

If I have a switch with untagged VLAN1 and VLAN2
do I need 2 crossovers to link VLAN 1 and VLAN2 on a second switch?

These aren't router (Layer 3)

Thanks

You can not link two subnets (VLAN or LAN doesn't matter) without a Layer3
routing device.

I don't want them to link!
I've got a network where there is already a crossover (using fibre backbone)
on a switch.

I now need to add a new VLAN in these two locations but was wandering if I
need to crossover twice (which is what I ideally would want to do)

I don't need them to route, so don't need Layer3.

Thanks

I think if the ports using the fiber link are "members" of more than one
VLAN (one "untagged", the rest "tagged"), the that fiber link could be
shared by more than one VLAN.
