Hi

I am working on what will be a very large database and when a search is made
a large amount of data is returned. What I am trying to do is to add a
feature so that after conducting a search the user can sift through the
results and identify the records that they wish to have a report developed on
and the report to provide the full detail on and then ounce the report and
search have been closed for the records that have been identified to be clear
of the identifying criteria, most likely a check box.

I would imagine that I would need several layered queries to make this work
but have absolutely no idea about how to get started could any body that has
done it or n=knows how it would be done help me that would be great

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Thanks Graham for your reply

I feel that I may have not explained myself fully, I have a search that
operates as efficiently as a search possibly can, in the cases were the
operator knows exactly down to every detail what they are looking for it will
produce the precise data. However, simply due to the nature of the data
stored and the function of the database the operator will very rarely know
every detail. In fact, it is the additional data that is really what is being
searched for. So, what I was wondering, is can a record or numerous records
be identified I would imagine by way of a checkbox, then proceed to a report
with only the selected records being shown in the report. Also, if this can
be done or something similar is it also possible to have additional data
displayed in the report that does not show in the initial search, so in a
sense the query would show a shorted/ abbreviated version of the data.

Thanks again for you reply
