I recently installed SP2 and my system no longer sees one of my CD drives.
While digging around I noticed that windows can't load it's drivers because
my other CD drive is identical to this one. How can I get this drive working
again?
Thanks,
Matt

That is ridiculous. Machines with twin drives have been built
many times without this problem. Windows assign different enum
values for each drive. Are you sure that the one CD drive not
seen is still working?

Oh wow, I never thought to make sure the drive was working. Oh wait, yes I
did, and it's working just fine untill I put both drives back in. Not
everyone looking for help here is a complete idiot.

If two CD drives are installed on an IDE cable, one should be set as Master
and the other as Slave. Or use "cable select" for both.

Check in the BIOS to see if both CDs show up.

Both show up in BOIS and work independantly. One shows up as primary slave,
other as secondary master. The one I have on the second IDE channel is on a
round IDE cable that only allows one drive on that IDE. I wasn't sure if it
needed to be set as master or slave so I used cable select for that drive.
Other two are set as master and slave with the jumpers.
