Ideas for Board, Display manufacturer ?

We are implementing access control hardware systems.

The basic requierment is that each system have 2 usb ports, ( some times
display 6" flatpannel touch screen ), network capabilities.

On procesing very small .net application. basicly capture id from keyboard,
or touch screen send it to server for validation, if valid, capture
biometrics and compare for authenticity.

There are a LOT of suppliers out there who can fit the bill. I can give you
my opinions, but instead you'd probably be better off contacting a Microsoft
partner who helps with choosing off-the-shelf hardware components that are
appropriate for your solution. In addition to "the tech", you want to
choose hardware based on how well the supplier is committed to your business
model. Do they have long life products? Do they give the opportunity for
last-time-buys before a product guys end of life? Etc.
