I'd like to see something in the next Internet Explorer...

Here's something I'd like to see when the next version of Internet Explorer rolls around:

I'd like to see a built-in download manager that allows the user to pause a download in case he or she needs to disconnect from the Internet. Then, when he or she reconnects, he or she can open the download manager, and the download will be right there, waiting for him or her to resume it.

This would be an excellent add-on for users with a dial-up connection, especially when one is downloading a particularly large file.

What I would like to know is this: How many users would agree with my proposal?

I shall be waiting for responses.

Any time you download a program, don't click Open, click Save and save
it to a dedicated folder in My Documents just for downloading programs.
This only take a short time. It's the Installation that takes longer,
but since it is now in a folder, you don't have to be online to do the
install.

Additionally, if you ever crash and have to reinstall, you won't have to
go to all the sites to download all these programs again since they are
all in a folder *which I hope you back up* along with your personal
folders in My Documents regularly.
