I have a cable modem connected via Cat-5 to my NIC. I have
another NIC and another computer that I will connect via
cross over cable. My problem is that ICS is not an option
under the Advanced tab of my network connection properties.
Any ideas??

The ICS option only appears when all of these are true:

1. There are at least two enabled, connected network connections: one
for the Internet, and one or more for the LAN.

2. The Internet Connection Firewall is disabled on the LAN
connection(s).

3. The Internet connection isn't bridged.

It is possible that the ICS is not instaleld. Go to the
control panel, Add/remove programs Icon. Select the
Windows Components and then scroll down the list. Make
sure that ICS is checked.

That might help with Windows 98SE or ME, but not with Windows XP. ICS
is an integral part of Windows XP. It isn't possible to install or
un-install ICS.
