Hello,
Iv'e got a strange one for ya'll. I am running a small
home network set up like this. Office PC is 192.168.0.1
(this is the ICS Host), A Dlink wireless router access
point that is 192.168.0.3, and a laptop with a wireless
card that is 192.168.0.2. I can get the network running
with no problems. The problem starts when i try to
connect to the internet on the laptop. The Office PC is
set up for on demand dialing with a dialup. But it will
not dial the connection that the laptop is requesting
until i shutdown the laptop. Then the office pc dials up
and connects. Once the Office PC dials up and connects,
and i reboot the laptop I STILL cannont get a web page to
load. Any reason why it would on dial up after the
requesting laptop is in its shut down process?

On the laptop, run ipconfig /all. Make sure the laptop's default gateway is
192.168.0.1. Try manually configuring the laptop's primary DNS server using
the IP address of your ISP's DNS server.

I have the laptop set up with a static ip of .0.2 and the
gateway as .0.1 . I have put in the primary and alternate
dns servers of the dial up connection. Still no luck.
Yet when i shutdown the laptop, the office computer acts
if it just "recieved" the commend to dial up the
connection, and does so.

On the laptop, open Internet Explorer and go to Tools/Options. Click the
Connections tab - set to Never dial a connection - in Lan Settings, clear
the automatically detect settings check box.

It is already set to that.
