ICS Problem

Before the last security updates due to viruses I had ICS
set-up between my 2 W2K PC's and it worked fine.
After the updates my second PC which routes through the
first PC to my ADSL connection does not get a connection.
Both PCs can ping each other, share directories and
printers etc. I can even ping an external ip address from
the second PC but I cannot ping a web address. To me it
seem that it cannot fined the isp DNS server. I have tried
putting the ip address for my isp DNS server into the
settings but this has not helped.

Can anyone give me some other ideas which may solve this
problem.

Thanks

Mike

I have an almost identical problem,
except I can't even ping external IP's from the client or second computer.
See thread "can't ping IP on web from client."
Sorry I don't have an answer yet, but you can check my settings against
yours
to see if there's a common error there.
I think your DNS server should be set to 192.168.0.1 on the second or
client,
and 127.0.0.1 (loopback) on the host LAN setup.
The DNS server I have set to "get automatically" on the external dialup
properties.
but I guess you could just as well set the actual one if you know it.

but it's still not working for me so don't quote me on it!
let me know what your solution is if you find it as it might help me too.

Regards
Anthony
