I have a win 2k pro server, that is running ICS. I am
unable to allow external internet users to connect to an
FTP running on a client computer. How is the best way to
go about routing from server to client?

Get a small dsl router like a Linksys or Netgear and have that port forward
to a pc. Problem with ICS or having a pc/server do it is it always needs to
be up.

Use the special ports feature of ICS (I think it is 'behind' the
Advanced button or on the Advanced tab in Win2003/XP.)

FTP may even be one of the "presets" (you don't have to mess
around with the actual port numbers) because technically FTP
normally uses multiple ports specified at the "application layer"
and therefore technically requires an "editor" (program that fixes
the packet.)

You map the outside port to the inside port/address.

BTW, you have EITHER a Win2000 "Pro" or a "Server".
