ICS and domain

Hello everybody

I'm running windows Vista Ultimate, I'm connected to a domain network and
internet via the same Ethernet interface with a static IP.
I want to share this Internet connection to an Ad Hoc network through a WLAN
interface.

it's said that we should not use Internet Connection Sharing in an existing
network with Domain Name System (DNS) servers, gateways, DHCP servers, or
systems configured for static IP addresses. And this explains why ICS does
not work for me although the error returned is not clear.

What can I do in my case to share my Internet connection ?

I think that means if you have a gateway, you don't need the Internet
access; if you have a DHCP and you setup ICS which will be DHCP too, that
will mess up whole system. However, in your case, the ICS will separate your
wireless network from the domain network. But that doesn't mean your ICS
will work because your company may block you to do so.

Let me give you more details.
I'm a domain administrator, and there's no GPO about ICS ...
I want to share the Internet connection in my company (DSL) to my phone by
wireless access. I don't have router, so the only way to do it is through my
WLAN interface. But to do this, I must create an ad-hoc network and share my
Internet connection, which is my LAN interface. As I'm connected to a domain
through the same LAN interface, maybe it creates conflicts... and as you say
if I activate DHCP things will be more complicated. So what can I do ?
 
If you have windows server, you should use NAT instead of ICS. However, if
this server DC, we don't recommend to use it as RRAS and NAT server. That
may bring some issues to your network.

I'm trying to share my connection from my notebook not from DC.
I specified that I'm connected to a domain just to tell you that maybe this
kind of configuration (domain, dns, gateway, static IP) does not let ICS work
well as it's specified in some articles.
